AEGEE-Europe ABC:
AA – Action Agenda This sets out the activities of the next calendar year, organized by Focus Area
AC – Audit Commission checks the accounting of AEGEE-Europe and AEGEE locals (in special cases) and presents their findings to each Agora. They collect and check the Financial reports of Antennae and WGs, that are to be sent in each year.
Academy ‘s Working Group, which organizes European Schools and other schools.
AEGEE - AEGEE stands for Association des Etats Generaux des Etudiants de l’Europe. Is it also sometimes referred to as the EuropeanStudents’ Forum.
Agora – The General Membership Meeting at the European level.
Antennae with a local voting rights at Agora’s.
AR - Activity Report. The Activity and Financial Reports help to build an accurate overview of the network. The Activity Report has to be sent to the CD once a year in order to help to build an accurate overview of the network and the status of your Antenna.
ATV – AEGEE.tv The online TV station of AEGEE.
BE - Beyond Europe.  The Flagship Project of 2010/2011. It will deal with the role of Europe facing Global Challenges, and how it interacts with other regions of the world.
CD - Comité Directeur. The Comite Directeur or European board of directors is the executive body of AEGEE-Europe. It directs and represents the association and co-ordinates its work. The head office is located in Brussels.
CdA - Convention d’Adhésion. The contract a local signs with the CD to become an antenna.
Chair - The person with the Agora and EBM chair.
CIA – Corpus Iuridicum Aegeense, these are the statutes of AEGEE at European level.
Commissions
  • Audit Commission - The Audit Committee of AEGEE-Europe that the cost of the CD to check.
  • JC – juridical Commision , a committee at the European level that deals with legal matters within AEGEE. JC takes care that all procedures during statutory meetings are done according to the statutes  and therefore legally valid.
  • MemCom – Members Commission , the committee that disagreements between local solves.
  • NetCom – Network Commision , a committee involved with expanding and improving the network.
    • NetCommie - Network Commissioner supports and motivates the locals in their area and helps to set up new locals.
Contact - Locals who want to be included in the network.
Contact Antennae – A local non-voting during AGORA programs, generally in the new locals.
Delegate – A representative of a local during a AGORA or EBM.
EBM - European Boards’ Meeting. The EBM (200-400 participants) involves AEGEE Antennae in the projects and activities of the European Bodies of AEGEE, providing a platform for interaction. At the EBM the Action Agenda for the whole year is prepared.
ED – Europe Day , May 9, the day we celebrate the birth of the EU on May 9, 1950 was established.
EDEEuropean Day of Environment , June 4 is the day of nature.
EDL – European Day of Languages ​​, 11 November is the day of the languages.
ES – European School. A 7-9 days training course for members who want to become more active in AEGEE, event where you can learn about organizing activities.
  • FRES – Fund Raising European School , an event where you learn all about fund raising.
  • ITES – Information Technology European School , an event where you learn everything about IT.
  • PRES – Public Relations European School , an event where you learn all about PR.
  • MeS – Media School, an event of ATV where you learn everything about making movies.
ESN – Erasmus Student Network , an international organization that helps you if you want to study abroad.
FA – Focus area , the topics that the CD is from 2009 to 2011 will focus on, according to the Strategic Plan. The focus areas are: European Citizenship, Global Perspectives, Intercultural Dialogue, Human Resources Development, Organizational Developement and Quality Assurance.
FATF – Foundation AEGEE Trust Fund , a fund at European level to advance money for large projects.
Fields of Action - The four pillars of AEGEE: Higher Education, Active Citizenship and Cultural Exchancge Peace & Stability.
  • Active Citizenship focuses on its members to make active citizens that can contribute to issues such as the Bologna process and VISA policies.
  • Cultural Exchange focuses on cross-cultural exchanges and learn.
  • Higher Education focuses on improving education in Europe.
  • Peace & Stability focuses on safety in peace in Europe.
Flagship Project - AEGEE-Europe chooses each two years a thematic focus: the Flagship Topic, which provides the framework for AEGEE-Europe’s
main project for that period, the Flagship Project. The aim of a Flagship Project is not just to organise conferences on the topic, but to have real impact on the problem: to encourage AEGEE members to think and act, and to gather and document the results.
HO – Head Office , where the live CD. Located in Brussels
Key to Europe - the magazine of AEGEE-Europe.
LO – Liaison Officer , these are individuals who represent AEGEE including UNESCO, OECD and the European Bank.
LTC - Local Training Course. A local training course for members who want to become more active in AEGEE. Shorter and more basic than the European school.
NWMNetwork Meeting. Each NetCommie organises a Network Meeting (NWM), which aims at gathering (cooperation), training (learning experience) and solving (locals’ problems). They are the perfect opportunity to discuss common activities and share experience.
RTC – Regional Training Course.
SU – Summer University , the largest project of AEGEE in which students in the summer for two weeks to go abroad to do something about the culture and mutual learning. This is the largest mobility project in Europe.
  • TSU – Travel Summer University , a SU where you least four different cities overnight.
  • SC – Summer Course , a SU where you at least 10 hours per week taught about a specific topic.
  • SUCT – Summer University Coordination Team , they coordinate the SU’s
  • SUPS – Summer University Project School , an event where you can learn all about organizing a SU.
WG - Working Group and project groups at European level that deal with certain issues in a year and organize various activities.
  • CWG – Cultural Working Group , a project at European level involved with culture.
  • EnWG - Environmental Working Group , a project at European level who are involved with nature.
  • EWG - Education Working Group , a project at European level who are involved with education.
  • HRWG - Human Rights Working Group , a project at European level who are involved with human rights.
  • IPWG - International Politics Working Group , a project at European level who are involved with politics.
  • ITC – Information Technology Committee , a project at European level who are involved with IT.
  • PRC - Public Relations Committee , a project at European level who are involved with Public Relations.
  • VFF-WG - Visa Freedom Fighters Working Group , a project at European level involved with VISA’s.
YnY  - YOUrope needs YOU - A project that focuses on high school students to learn more about Europe & to become active members of society.
WDEE – Where does Europe End. A project aiming to understand the picture of Europe.
